A Fun Day of Learning and Play: Game Bus Therapy at ABLE South Lakeland

This past Friday at 3 PM, something exciting rolled up to our South Lakeland clinic at 454 W Pipkin Road, in Lakeland the Game Bus!

Thanks to the incredible support of our families, community, and donors, we were able to bring this unique experience to our kids as part of their ABA therapy journey.

Building Social Skills in a Fun Environment

The Game Bus provided more than just video games, it created the perfect social environment for therapy. Children worked together, practiced turn-taking, communicated with peers, and built problem-solving skills while having a blast. These real-life social interactions are critical for kids with autism, and events like this allow them to practice what they learn in therapy in a fun, engaging way.

One of the highlights of the day was watching kids encourage each other, celebrate wins, and share the joy of playing together. It was a powerful reminder that learning doesn’t always have to look like traditional therapy—sometimes, the best growth happens while kids are having fun.
